About Abodu

Abodu builds well-designed, factory-built Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), with projects lasting as few as 12 weeks from contract to installation. Abodu is based in Redwood City, CA, and has completed dozens of projects in Northern California over the course of 2019 and 2020. Abodu is proud and excited to begin working with Los Angeles homeowners seeking to build beautiful backyard homes through their easy and transparent experience.

The launch of LA’s new Standard Plan program is a monumental step forward in reducing the barriers of ADU construction. In 2019, Abodu worked closely with the City of San Jose to launch a similar program, which has seen tremendous success. Abodu is excited that the City of Los Angeles has demonstrated its commitment to providing homeowners with the necessary tools to build an ADU on their property, with ease.

Abodu's mission is to amaze homeowners with how beautiful Abodu backyard homes are – and how easy adding space can be. Abodu is focused on reducing the housing shortage, creating value for homeowners and families, and forging a future where having a home in the backyard is the norm, not the exception.

PRODUCT : Abodu sells three signature models that fit seamlessly into backyards: Abodu Studio, 340 square feet Abodu One, 500 square feet Abodu Two, 610 square feet While certain components such as the doors and finishes are customizable, Abodu streamlines the process by ensuring the footprint is the same for their three prefabricated models.

SERVICE : Abodu’s Concierge Service takes the stress out of the homeowner’s hands by managing the project from start to finish. Abodu does the heavy lifting, so homeowners don’t have to.
